» Miss OYP 2010 --Ferrah Mikals!!

Congratulations to Ferrah on her stunning victory at the Miss OYP Pageant on the 13th. Her talent was delightful and we are looking forward to working with her in the coming year. Thanks to all the contestants and special guests for making this a very successful pageant.

» BOSTON TO TULSA!!!

BEGINNING THIS SUNDAY THE 7TH BOSTON UNIVERSITY WILL SHARE 13 OF THEIR STUDENTS WITH US FOR A WEEK OF WORK, FOOD AND FUN. YOU WILL GET TO HELP THEM DO UPGRADE PROJECTS AROUND OUR FACILITY AND LEARN ABOUT THEIR LIVES IN COLLEGE. ITS A FUN TIME STOP BY EVERY CHANCE YOU GET THE CENTER WILL BE OPEN EVERYDAY TILL AROUND NINE IN THE EVENING.

» First Camp of 2010

The first Camp Out of 2010 has come and gone and what a great time was had by all. From bb gun practice to archery to being scared in the basement at night, a good time was had by all. Be sure you don't miss the next "Camp Out" and sign up for our community service project with CampFire this year.

» Private Counseling Services Available

Openarms Youth Project has a counselor available every thursday evening to meet with you and or your family. She arrives around 4:30 and is usually there till about 9:00. You may drop in any time for a visit with her or schedule and appointment. Her name is Leigh Ann and she is just great.

» THURSDAY GROUP AND DINNER

Come by and hang out at the center which opens at 4:00, with dinner served at 6:30 and group discussion at 7:00. You will make new friends and see all your regular ones. Come on by on a Thursday to hang out and have fun at Tulsa's Only GLBTQ youth center: Openarms Youth Project Inc.

Bringing Lesbian, Gay Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning youth and their friends together to build a peer based community that empowers them to end isolation, create a progressive youth voice; increase well being and self-esteem; and change the communities in which they live. Openarms Youth Project accomplishes this by offering peer based education, advocacy, recreation, information and leadership opportunities.
